Whether you’re a complete newbie or just need a refresher, our three-week sewing course is tailor-made for you, led by Alison Leese, expert seamstress and owner of Ministry of Craft!
Week 1: Conquer Your Sewing Machine and Sew a Chic Tote Bag
In this exhilarating kickoff, you’ll dive into the world of sewing machines. Learn how to thread like a pro, wind bobbins with finesse, and master the art of following seam guides and reverse stitching. But that’s not all! You’ll also create a fabulous tote bag from scratch and we will provide you with all the materials and tools you need. With your first make under your belt we know you’ll be on a roll.
Week 2 – Button Up Your Creativity!
This week you’ll sew up a cushion cover and learn how to sew a one-step buttonhole and attach your buttons using the sewing machine. Made in your own choice of fabric (see ‘What to Bring’), you can match to your home décor, because style matters!
Week 3 – Get to Grips with a Zip!
For your final week, you’ll be tackling a zip! Fear not—we’ll demystify them. You’ll stitch a lined makeup bag, complete with a zip. No need to pack supplies; we’ve got you covered!
Finish with three gorgeous makes and a new sewing addiction, reserve your spot now!
